I've only ever took apart a premade pc before and out it back together. I haven't had the opportunity to install a GPU after everything else has been setup. Could someone please enlighten me?

Thanks for reading awaiting reply.

Solution
First, to uninstall use DDU to uninstall old drivers if any apply.

Plug your new GPU into your SLI slot and boot up the computer.

Install updated drivers from the supplier's site.

Reboot computer again for the driver to kick in, you should see a screen resolution difference and it should look much nicer now.

Your all done.

DDU is display driver uninstaller, a free software to uninstall old GPU drivers before installing a new GPU

A driver is the software used to make the hardware (GPU) work like it should

For example,
You have a Nvidia card installed and you want to upgrade to a new Nvidia card

Use ddu to uninstall the old GTX970 for instance,
Then once done reboot, and install the new RTX2080 card then the drivers for it from Geforce's page.
