I decided to buy this laptop.

After reading about 20-50 pages about graphic cards/radeon 4200 compatibility/ hybrid crossfireX/ and etc I'm mind blown. I don't want to do the hybrid crossfireX because I want to get a card that's better(50$ budget online) I'm looking at this one, but I don't know if it's compatible with the laptop.

Sorry Danielong but it is a no-go, the card you have chosen is a desktop card and there is no chance of upgrading the GPU on your gateway!

Laptops can have their CPU'S upgraded if the board supports it, but GPU is a much harder thing to do, not impossible, but you wouldnt be asking these questions if you knew where to start!

Best bet, use laptop for work, internet and get a gaming desktop if you want to game!

Generally speaking, you cannot upgrade the video card in a laptop. The exception would be some higher end laptop; $1,600 - $2,000+. It's been a while since I looked at expensive laptops.

Additionally, mobile video cards are expensive and hard to find. Last time I bothered looking, a low end card was about $200.

Basically heres a rule of thumb.

Unless your willing to spend 2000-3000$ on a laptop, dont expect to game on it, or upgrade it.
