How to install a gtx 980 in a Asus rog g20????

I have a Asus Rog G20 that came with a 960 and two power supplies. I bought a PNY 980gttx reference card, and have it in the pci e slot, powered by the one pcie 6 pin connector, and the specific power supply, but I get a message that i need to connect the pcie connector to the card. The card has two female 6 pin connectors, but i only have one male off the board? do i need a splitter? I know people have put this card in this model.

You have to plug two 6 pin connectors into that card, thats why it usually comes with a molex x2 ---> 6 pin adapter
Do you have this adapter and extra molex connectors?

The rog has a singel 6 pin pcie male plug. The card came with 6 pin pcie to two 4 pin molex. So i need a 6 pin pci to two 6 pin male pcie adapter?

I dont think it will be able to put out enough power, but you can try

I have the same ROG GJ20 that came with the 960. Were you able to successfully use your 980? If so, could you post a link the specific 980 you bought?
