I want to play a DVD on my computer but it says that the Media Player does not have a decoder to play the DVD. How can I get a decoder?

XP requires a 3rd part decoder for DVDs due to licensing.

Get VLC Media player, use that to play DVDs. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Or Media Player Classic http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/
