How to install civ 3 on win 7

did get the first civ 3 to load on windows 7, having trouble with play the world and conquests get error for play the world,

I get the same error, installing CIV III Gold edition

file: D:\data2.cab
error: Data error(cyclic redundancy check)


I've tried XP SP3 Compatability,
with and without Run As Administrator,
And several other recommended fixes, but so far nothing works.
