how to install drivers and bios from usb

I have a new mb Asus z87-plus and a old hdd with no os. brought a win 8.1 disk (full version) from retail store. Locks up at 24% of installation. How do I fix this problem?

Using another computer, download and extract the newest BIOS file to the flash drive. Now boot the machine with the Z87-Plus, plug the flash drive in, and get into the BIOS. You should find the EZ Flash tool on one of the menu screens. The tool will run, with your flash drive displayed. Pick the new BIOS file and let the flash complete.
