I wanna take my computer and play in a location without internet access, but when I install the game it goes directly to steam, not to my machine. How do I get this done? I'm sure it's an easy question for my friends here. AMD FX 8350, Mobo is a Gigabyte 970A-UD3, Corsair H80i liquid cooler, SeaSonic M12II 650 W psu, Corsair DDR3 32GB, Samsung 840 250 GB SSD, NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650 video card, Hitachi 1TB HD.
Thanks in advance for any help.

It will have the same end-result. When you go offline on Steam, the games installed in your library which are on that PC will be unlocked for playing, without depending on connecting to Steam. You will not be able to use your Steam games on other PCs until you go back online with that PC.

Ok, that worked, fantastic! Thanks very much!
But I'm afraid I've discovered a much deeper problem. I tried to install a copy of Rainbow Six Vegas & I got these ominous messages:

Feature transfer error.
Feature: New Feature 1
Component: Sound_es.
File: D:\dat2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Then these:

Error 1308
Source file not found: F:\eula.2052.txt.
Verify that file exists and that you can access it.
abort/retry/ignore
When I tried ignore, I got the same messages for eula.txt files 1031, 1033, 3082, 1036, 1040, 4041, & 1042.
I take it I somehow managed to delete some important files?
Is this fixable?

The installation online seemed to go fine, but when done the game is nowhere to be found, lol. Not in either steam or in my computer. When I try to run it from the disc I get this message: Please select correct DVD-ROM, select Ok & restart application.

I got the game free when I bought a DVD/ROM years ago. What about the error messages above? What do they mean? I read about a utility that fixes error 1308, is there anything to that? Ty!
