How to install fans

Am I missing something? I'm fairly knowledgeable about computers, maybe I'm just being stupid...

So I just got a bunch of new fans for my build upgrade, they all come with 4 small screws each.

But, the holes on the fans are not threaded, neither are the holes in the case.

Can someone give me an idea of the hardware I need to get, and maybe a link to such hardware?

that's normal. when you screw in from outside the case you will thread the plastic on your fan holes.

So why wouldn't they just thread the plastic when they mold it???
That seems a bit weird, I feel like there should be an easier way to do it.

All fans come like this. I have owned Noctua, Cooler Master, Corsair, and Scythe fans. It seems a little forceful and you need to apply some pressure but its fine.

It's often easier to pre-thread (put a screw in then take it out) them before you put them in the case

Good idea. I will definitely try this next time. I think you are right cuz it'll make sure the screw enters straight and you can apply better pressure when the fan is on the ground.

Thanks! Just never had to buy extra fans before and install them myself. Seemed a bit counterintuitive, but was actually easier than expected. Didn't want to ruin the holes on 3 $20 AP-15's before I actually had to mount them.
