how to install graphtech 1000-60 vinyl plotter in windows 7 ultimate-64 bit connected to system through USB

I already have a Sky win plotter which was working smoothly with my old PC with P4 and XP. Now I purchased a new PC with I-3 and loaded with win-7 ultimate and my printer could not be installed. Since Intel mother board doesnot provide com ports Iam using USB. please help

I don't think that there are drivers for Windows 7 x64. I have run many old devices though using XP mode, which you can download from Microsoft at no cost -- it is three files and they need to be installed in a specific order as explained in the directions on their site HERE. It simply runs an emulated Windows XP in a program window and is pretty easy to use.

If you cannot run it off a USB port, you may need to add a PCIe COM port card to your motherboard.

The downloads from Microsoft cited above requires validation and I was informed that the system speed goes down after the above installation. After a thorough search in google, I found the necessary software provided by graphtech inorder to run the machine 1000-60http://dc660.4shared.com/download/lpMdIC-u/drivers_plotter__graphtec_ce_1.zip?tsid=20140129-152236-f4b36473.
