I Have a Killer E2400 integrated with my motherboard (Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 3)

I want to install Intel i219v instead because Killer E2400 is causing BSOD with driver irql not less or equal cause.

Thanks.

Solution
First step is to try the drivers from killer that have all the killer features removed. It is so sad that people get conned into thinking there is such a thing as a "gaming" network interface.

You can't obviously change the chips on the motherboard but there are a number of add in PCI card that have intel chip sets. Not sure you can get that exact one but you might you have to read the specs. Most intel nic cards perform very well no matter what chipset they contain.

It tends to be trivial to install. You put the card in load the driver and connect the cable.

I have the Gaming 5 so I'm not sure if yours is the same, but all I have to do is switch the Ethernet cable from the Killer port to the Intel Port. You can probably fix your IRQ error and use the Killer Network adapter by updating your Bios and device drivers.

I already updated my drivers. However, I haven't tried updating my BIOS. Are there any complications in updating my BIOS?
