How to install new windows 10, I need help please

Ok, so I built my PC and I installed the Windows 8 enterprise evaluation trial version for 90 days and it just expired and I'm thinking about buying a Windows 10 from bestbuy with the key code and a usb drive, and my question is, how do install it, if I only have 1 hard drive, do I have to delete the Windows 8 trial or something, or do I have to format my hard drive to do a clean install, or can I just make my bios boot up the usb that comes with the windows 10 package? I don't know what to do, please help, I don't want to loose my files

Why not create a new partition and install Windows 10 in that? That way everything you currently have on your hard drive will still be there and be accessible. You can do that by going to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management.

This requires some prep and definition.

'Files', or 'applications'?
Files can be saved, no problem. Save off to another drive, and proceed.
Applications will not. At all.

Win 8x Enterprise to Win 10 is a whole new install. There is no 'upgrade' or 'Keep Everything'
Boot from the USB you get from BestBuy, wipe and reinstall.
