How to install newer android on Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000

Hello

First i would like to mention that i have edited this post because i solved my previous problems.

I'd like to update my SGS I9000 to at least android 4.3, but i can't seem a proper guide which has all the files links working.

I would appreciate a link to a fully working step by step tutorial(including links) or a guide made by one of you

EDIT: My phone doesn't power up unless it's plugged into power. It shows me that the battery is empty(battery with 0% green) and shuts down immediately after that.

There is no official Android 4.3 for the Galaxy S I9000 as official updates ended some time ago for that model. About the battery problem, it may simply need a new battery as after a few years they lose there ability to hold a charge.

Make sure you follow complete instructions. I don't know how your battery is gonna effect it but if your phone works well, shouldn't be a problem. Anyways you need to buy a new one, phone without battery is very much bad.

I needed to install an official 2.3.6 gingerbread first, later i managed to install the 4.4 Cyanogenmod which i found on xda developers forum.

The battery problem is still there though, i forgot to mention that my battery works fine, it charges fully and i can use my phone up to 5 days, the only problem i have is that the phone can only be turned on while connected to a charger, but after i can unplug it and it works just fine
