How to install operating system?

I am getting excited to build my computer soon. I want to make sure I have everything I need. I have a monitor, video card, power supply, cpu, ram, hard drive, case, and motherboard. My friend has a wifi thing for me and a usb optical drive. Hoe do I install ANY operating system(Linux Windows 7 etc.) if I have no idea? Do I need to buy anything? THANKS!

Just insert the disk, Pendrive and follow the on-screen instructions. It is very easy. Just search "OS Name"+ installation and you will find thousands of tutorials if you want particular results.
