How to install OS into SSD Only

After im done building my newly custom pc, i am looking for guides with video or pictures of how to install an Operating system into SSD only. And where do i get or buy the OS in downloaded form into Thumbdrive? After i got my OS, i am worry that my pc will be asking for product key so where can i find them?

Secondly, how do completely erase all the data for HDD?

i am wondering if my old HDD that contain an os, and i wanted to use my old HDD to my new custom pc, what will happen? Will i able to use the OS from old HDD?

You buy the OS. It comes with a key. Windows 10 is available on USB. Just have ONLY your SSD connected to your motherboard when you are installing the OS. After you have the OS install complete with patches then you can power off and connect additional disks. You can format the old HD to clear it out.

You probably can't use the old OS, because it won't boot and it may violate the user agreement.

You can "migrate" an OS with an application or just do a fresh install through USB boot. There will be a drop-down menu where you can choose the install location.
