I installed Windows 7 on an msata ssd, but afterwards I was given no boot options and it would just boot into the boot menu. I got it to load windows once and that was when the laptop had the windows installation disc in. It said 'press any key to run setup' and I ejected the CD to try and get it to boot and it did.

So Windows is installed and working, but I have no way to boot into it, I'm re installing it for the second time now. Does anyone know the specific BIOS settings for this? I have it in legacy mode and in the ADHI mode ( or whatever it's called).
Thank you.

Then maybe your board cannot actually boot properly from the mSATA drive.
I'm out of ideas at...

I have already booted into it twice and ran windows for over an hour. But if I restart the PC, I loses the boot and it doesn't know what it's doing.

When you installed the OS, was that drive the only one connected?

Please post a screencap of your Disk Management window.

Yes it was the only drive installed.

The bios doesn't show a boot order, it says boot order and has nothing beneath it. It also freezes all the time ( the bios ). Maybe I should update that?

I've not seen any recent BIOS that does not have a screen displaying the boot order, and allowing you to change it.

It showed a list of things, half of which were not connected. It said: hard drive, cd/dvd, second hard drive ect. If I chose hard drive or second hard drive, it said they wern't connected and to check the cable. There was no msata option.

I'm out of ideas at this point.

I read something about updating the bios to support msata before, I'll try that as a last option.

Thought I'd try restarting it and it booted into this intel UNDI PXE thing and did nothing else. I have a boot menu full of options that don't do anything. How is my only working boot option hidden and not available?
