How to Install Simcity 3000 in Windows 8.

I have my original CD to install. AutoRun doesn't work for installing. No Setup.exe file visible to try.

Any files marked 'Application' on the CD?

this may not work because the game is to new but try a program called "DOS box" that *might* work

if that does not work try getting the version from GOG they have thing for it

and if you don't want to buy it again and I don't condone or support this but it does not matter since it is a 15 yr old game torrent the GOG version and play that until you feel you want to buy but that is a maybe.

Insert disk - copy and paste CD Contents to 'new folder' on desktop (this is what i did).

Then download this PATCH

Then copy and paste these 2 files ^ to same folder (should be 'Baapp' and 'SC3U').

Then close all windows except this 'new folder' and simply click 'Launcher'

This worked for me first time so hopefully will work for you guys
