how to install wd caviar blue

Need help .... Installed New WD's cavier blue 500 GB, conected standard
sata cable to mother board, and then sata power supply... but it wont
power up......
any one help..

Are you sure it's not powering up, or is it just that you don't see an icon for the drive in Windows Explorer?

If it's the latter, you need run Disk Management:

- Start -> right-click "Computer" -> click "Manage"
- Click the "Disk Management" link in the left pane
- Find the disk in the LOWER portion of the middle pane and right-click to partition and format it.
