i know nothing about computers. i have a computer already made but it has no wifi adapter. i've tried usb adapters but they stop working after a few weeks and LAN cable isn't viable because of where i'm situated. i got help from others online and they told me i can use this PCI-E wifi adapter with my motherboard --> https://www.pccasegear.com/products/30371/tp-link-archer-t8e-ac1750-wireless-dual-band-pci-express-adapter/

motherboard: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/33174

only thing left is to install it, right... so i'm not sure where to put it. i think its one of these slots in this picture but i just want to make sure -

What Blackbird said. The card fits perfectly into the yellow slot, regardless of being much shorter than the slot itself (the card needs to be connected to the leftmost part of the yellow-marked slot). Of course, you need to remove or pry out the metal cover on the back of the case (the one behind the yellow-marked slot) so you can physically install the card. Antennas should be unscrewed prior to installation so everything goes easier. Once the card is installed, screw the antennas on from the back of the case. Fire up the computer, download and install drivers, and that's pretty much it.
