Hello,
I bought a second hand Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 and now it cannot boot anymore.
Unfortunately the BIOS has a password and I lost contact detail of the seller.
The boot option from USB is disabled in the BIOS.
HP refuses to help me because I don't have the original bill from the shop.

I removed the SDD from this Elitebook and I would install a Windows 10 on it.
SSD SAMSUNG NVMe MZVPW256HEGL SM961, 256GB, M-KEY, Size 22x80mm

How to install a fresh Windows 10 on this SSD, that can boot on my Elitebook?
I prefer a method without opening PC (removing screws). To follow this method
I'm looking for an adapter USB to NVMe SSD M-KEY. Hard to find and expensive!

Is this the best way to install W10 on my SSD?
- Find another Elitebook Folio 1040 G3 with unlocked BIOS.
- Remove its SSD and plug in mine.
- Boot from a USB stick built by Microsoft Media Creation Tool.
- Install Windows 10 on my SDD, remove it and plug in back inside my Elitebook

Thanks in advance and regards

HP is declining to assist for the same reason we here won't.
Cannot verify ownership.
