I currently have a WD 1TB hard drive but I just got a Samsung EVO 850 SSD. Do I have to uninstall windows 10 on the old hard drive if I want to install it on the new SSD? I keep having an issue where it gets to the screen of "Installing features, installing updates, finishing up" and after finishing up it keeps restarting my computer and it makes me go through it all over again. Any help? Thanks.

If you want to install Windows on the SSD and make it the boot drive, go into the BIOS and set the SSD as the first boot drive and save it. The system will ask you to install Windows and when it's done you can format the HDD to be your data drive. Just remember to backup your files before doing that.

Solution
You can clone it or do a clean install of Windows 10. By cloning you need an external USB drive case with the cloning software. You place the new drive inside the external case and it's labeled the target drive. The drive you want to clone is the Source drive. Once the cloning is finished you place the new drive in the same slot as the old. If you have multiple slots I would just boot with the new drive in a slot and leave the old drive removed. Once it's boots successfully you can put the old drive in the second slot. The old drive will be accessible.
