How to install windows 7 on new ssd

I have a windows 7 disc and i have a new ssd. Do I have to do anything to the ssd before I put in the disc or do I just put in the disc and everything will be taken care of?

Just boot from the disc and windows will make it stupid easy for you.

Disconnect any other drive before you do the install.
