How to install windows 8.1 x64 from Windows 8.1 32-bit

how do i install windows 8.1 x64 in a 32-bit operating system, but my processor is 64-bit. i was trying to install windows 8.1 from a windows 7, but i didnt know that x86 was for 32-bit only, please help?

Hey there, Kevin!

Unfortunately you cannot upgrade your OS from a 32-bit to 64-bit. You have to fresh install the 64-bit version and delete your 32-bit one.
Or you can install it as a second operating system, but you'd have to re-install everything that was on the 32-bit and re-configure it for 64-bit version of the OS. You should probably contact the OS tech support for assistance with this.

yeah,u have 2 have a cd of the 64 bit vers or u can install on usb stick [but that requires 64bit win]
