I just bought a 970 Evo SSD to install windows on to. I want to reset my entire PC and install Windows 10 fresh on my laptop. Guides I have been reading have said to take HDD out, and then install Windows on SSD, then reinsert HDD. Although how can I install anything if I cant access my OS as it will be on my HDD which has been taken out for this? Do I put Windows 10 Installation Media onto a USB, take out HDD, boot up my laptop with the SSD in and then insert the USB which automatically detects and installs?

Create a Win 10 USB here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Power off
Disconnect the HDD
Power up and boot from that USB you created.

Then, How to do a CLEAN installation of Windows 10
