How to intsall expansion packs for your sims 3

Hey ummm i decided to buy the sims 3 ambitions expantion pack and i dont know how to intall it. i've followed the instructions on how to install it but the installer wizard never came up!help!

You need Sim 3 in order to be able to install that expansion.

yep you need sims 3. which has to be run at least 1 time and a save needs to be made. 1s done you can then patch the game to the required version. the installer will do this if it needs to. you will also have to right click on it and run it as administrator. 1s done it will look for the sims install and put the files in the rite folder ready for you to start the game. you may have to use an ingame menu to enable to dlc but if i remember correctly you may not need to.
