Just purchased a 55in Samsung QN700B 8K TV to use as my primary display on my system, replacing a 48in Acer UM.SE0 4K monitor. The display is great, but I want to fix an annoying issue. Every time I turn on the PC or even when I come back from screen sleep, the Samsung defaults to Home Screen mode, not PC mode, even though that is selected as the default device. The TV has four HDMI 2.1 ports and I am using Port 1.
Port 3 supports ARC, which I believe isn't an issue with my connection.
The Samsung user's manual is a joke, smaller than the warranty pages that come with a Ryzen CPU. Most of the text is just the usual "Don't " warnings - you know, Don't put next to fireplace, Don't use in wet areas, Don't cover vent holes, and so on. Samsung Forums seem to be oriented towards Galaxy phone owners. The E-Manual is better but generic to most kinds of Samsung TVs.
