How to know if my monitor is compatible with my pc??

Need a new monitor need to know if its compatible. I use 1050 ti asus phoenix for the gpu

As long as the monitor supports either HDMI, DVI or Displayport it should be fine. The GTX 1000 series does not support VGA.

Iam new at building pc's my computer's i/o shield has an vga and my gpu has dvi? How do. I connect it to monitor if it doesn't have dvi?

You connect your monitor to GPU (not video output on motherboard).

Sry for the inconvenience... I thought we have to plug it to the motherboard. So i only need dvi right?

What inputs does your monitor have?

You need your monitor to have any of same inputs as GPU outputs (you need only one of those, not all). DVI, HDMI, Display Port.

1050 ti should have DVI, HDMI and Displayport ports, you want to connect the monitor to the 1050 ti not the motherboard.

Any of them 3 ports should be fine.
