how to know if my power supply is compatible with my graphics card

i am getting into pc building and i wanted to know if my power supply and graphics card where compatible is there any way i could check this? Please help!!!

First, what do you mean by "Compatible" ?
If because of power, check recommended size of PSU with card's manufacturer.
If because of power connectors you have to look up what GPU needs and what PSU has and they have to match.
All of that is available at manufacturer's sites.
