How to know if psu and graphic card will fit your pc

I have an hp pavilion 6234f and am wanting to install a gtx 260 graphics card and a corsair 650 power supply. Will these fit????

Both will fit just fine in the tower HP uses for the p6234f.

Nope it would'nt fit I took it to best buy to have them install it and they said it was too big for my case. I sent it back and got a 9800 which is working fine

That's odd. What was in the way? And which 260 model did you try?
