[SOLVED] How to know what type of storage I can install on my laptop?

I have a laptop that has 512GB SSD. I want to upgrade to 1TB or 2TB. Are there multiple slots for SSD? How can I find out without opening the cover? I have a warranty and a protection plan and support said there'd be problems with it if I open the cover myself. How to know how much memory and storage can be expanded? I tried looking up by searching for motherboard but couldn't find anything.

The laptop is ASUS ROG STRIX G531GT. I'm sorry if the questions are silly. I'm a beginner.

this is a dis assembly of that unit. looks to have a standard SSD/hdd compartment and an m.2 slot.

google the model number and the word "teardown"

from skimming the video 2tb would be no issue in either format.

Welcome to the forums.

Whoa! Thank you so much! So the original Intel SSDPEKNW512G8 is a M.2. That means I can install a 2.5" SSD in there, right?
