How to limit the Fan RPM in msi Laptops?

I have a MSI GT72 dominator-216 and it has a button to the left of the keyboard to boost the fan speed. The problem is that the normal speed gets up to 2300 RPM and when i press the boost button it gets up top 3600 RPM and the MSI dragon gaming center doesn't give me an option to limit the RPM, because i would like to get and average of 2900 RPM, so it would cool way better when and gaming but no that much like an exagerated 3600 RPM.
is there a simple way to do it?

Is speedfan accurate? i mean in comparison with msi dragon gaming center.

yes all the temps will be identical to msi and you can control fan speeds. you could also install msi afterburner and set a custom fan curve
