My 2019 Xperia came with an app called "3D Creator" that does the same thing.

I was going to say; Sony was doing 3D scanning long before Apple. My 2018 Xperia xz compact had it at launch. Though the point cloud algorithm can only really handle simple geometry. Long protruding parts such as an arm sticking out often get cut. Simple round shapes like a head or sitting cat are fine.
