How to make a Bootable win 8.1 DVD from an ISO File?

The Windows 8 ISO you download from Microsoft has an option to create media.

If you right click on the ISO file and select 'Burn disc image' it should make a bootable DVD. Windows Vista/7/8 have no special 'Boot Disks' that you have to include on the ISO file and you just need to burn the files to a DVD or copy them to a USB drive and it should boot.

I copied them to the USB, but when I enable USB boot in BIOS, it boots into the old operating system. That's Win XP.

Did you change the boot order so it boots from the usb first?

Yes. But it was still booting to Win XP.

However, when I pressed TAB in the boot process it loaded the Win 8.1 install screen. It took a long time. I was finally able to install Win 8.1, and it's running well.

It boots into 8.1 much faster than it boots into XP.
