[SOLVED] How to make a user folder from another drive usable?

Hello, today I switched out my motherboard, and with this, I installed Windows on my SSD so I could use it as my boot drive. My issue now is that my previous user is on my HDD and I cannot figure out how to use this user. Is it possible to transfer this user folder to my SSD or simply run a profile from this folder on my HDD?

You can't use a user folder from a previous install.

you should be able to take ownership of the folders and copy contents

another way is
go to settings/update & security/recovery
under advanced startup, click restart now button
this restarts PC in a blue menu
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose command prompt
type notepad and press enter
in notepad, select file>open
Use file explorer to copy any files you need to save to USB or ssd

this way it ignores permissions and lets you access the folders. you still need to copy contents.
