How to make computer control fan and pump speed by itself?

So, i'm building a new computer for gaming and video stuff in a few months. I have most things planned out but i can't quite figure this out. Is there a way to make my computer control the speed of the fans and water cooling pumps by itself? Do i need to get specific hardware? do i need to get software or will the CPU handle it? Thanks!

Water cooling pumps usually want to be a fixed (maximum) speed. Are you building a custom loop or using an all-in-one?

Well pretty much any modern motherboard has fan control software that can be configured in the BIOS. So if you plug your fans into the motherboard fan headers the motherboard will raise and lower fan speeds based on temps automatically, you can fine tune this in the BIOS if you want.

As for pumps, some mobo's have headers designed for pumps, these generally will run the pump as max speed at all times. I have read that allowing the pump to raise ad lower it's speed based on temps can actually shorten the life of the pump, not 100% sure on that. I personally prefer to run AIO pumps at max speed all the time.

Yeah I should have clarified that. It's a custom loop.

With a custom loop, there are usually too many fans to be motherboard controlled. Push-pull configuration etc. A separate fan controller is usually recommended. Where ever you purchased your water loop parts should have fan controllers also.

Alright. I guess I'll just have to make do with a fan controller.
