How to make DDR3 1333MHz memory work on my Pegatron Corporation 2A94h Motherboard which only support 1066MHz?

Hello.
I have a HP Pro 3010 Microtower PC with Pegatron Corporation 2A94h motherboard. I have read that it supports up to 8 GB RAM DDR3 1066/800.
Now I have 2 GB RAM and OS Windows 10 64 bit. I wanted to upgrade to 8 GB RAM but, unfortunately there are no more DDR3 1066/800 on the market so, I was buying 2x4GB/1333/2568 Zeppelin UL 0417 004RA8&.
But, when I installed them to my computer all I get is a repeated sequence of a 1 long beep followed by another very long beep.
I was reading that I might try OC in BIOS but it seems HP blocked this feature.
Any ideas what can I do? (except buying another MB).

It's very likely that the ram you're going to need will be those that were made very early on when DDR3 came to be, which were rated to run at 1.8v. True you can't get DDR3-1066MHz rams anymore and since you're working with a prebuilt machine, it's highly likely that the BIOS is also your limitation when working with aftermarket parts.

FYI, prebuilt system are notorious for locking a lot features out of the BIOS to safeguard the end user, the system and company as well. Unless you can source a kit that is rated at 1066MHz out of the box, downclocking manually is out of the picture.

You can try and remove the CMOS battery and then populate the new ram kit and see if that helps.

Does your motherboard have 2 DIMM slots or 4? If it has 4 slots you can only use 2GB DIMMs. The 4GB DIMMs won't work.

Indeed manual clocking this model is locked down. But you can still run ddr3 1333mhz, you just need the right ones and that is also partial to which CPU you're running.

2gb 1xR ddr3 1333mhz pc3 10600 CL9 will run a treat in your system if you're not running quad core.

If you're running quad core you'll run the same specs, only 2xR is required.

According to crucial you can run 2gb 1600mhz pc3 12800 with a 64 bit system, but I can't tell you from personal experience if that will work. I can however tell you that the above mentioned 1333mhz run at 800mhz effectively.
