Question How to make hdmi connect to dgpu instead of igpu for external monitor?

I just bought a 165hz monitor and got pretty scared that i can only use 120hz and its connected to the Intel hd graphics instead of NVidia gpu. It worked like a year ago but now its broken. My cousin has the same laptop and monitor and doesnt have this issue. I don't have any mini display ports or usb-c in my laptop. How can i fix this? Please halp

You have to run a 3D workload and it will switch from integrated graphics to dedicated graphics.

My laptop is Dell Inspiron 5577
I7-7700HQ
GTX 1050
And monitor is Gigabyte g24f
also what is 3d workload?
