How to make my passport drive intro a normal thumb drive?

I recently buy a WD passport external drive of 1tb and mainly the reason i buy it is to store all my personal files picture, videos ect... So up untill there is allright now i have one issue. The way i want it to work is so that my ps4 can read it as a tumb drive and the problem am having is when i plug it in it my ps4 said " this usb storage drive's files system is unsupported " i have it not done anything to it but i was windering if theres a way to format it so that it can be read on the ps4 as a tumbdrive since its usb 3.0 my ps4 can also be use as a ps4 external storage unit but i dont want it that way. Anyways i hope someone out there understand me an be able to provide me a answer.

I think the WD HD's on-board/circuit-level encryption may be the problem.
