Hello there,
Router: Centurylink pk5001z
Yes, I make sure to stay up to date on firmware.
I play games on my computer and it runs perfectly fine when it is just me using the internet.
But the second someone else gets on our other computer, my ms jumps up to really high scary numbers and it won't go away until they are off.
It is usually my parents using either their computer, their tablets or phones.
They never download anything because they think anything and everything will give them a virus.
I honestly think they just have so many programs running in the background, if I tried to explain it to them, they would think I would be giving them a virus...
They have 0 knowledge in tech.
I know it is possible for me to make my PC top priority in terms of bandwidth.
I have a QoS option in my router.
But I just have no idea how to configure it..
I have no idea how they hog up SO much bandwidth, all they do is go on Facebook and watch Youtube videos.
The other computer can even hog it up when it is sleeping. I have to go turn it off so that I can get some speed.
Here are screen shots of the QoS tabs, please help!
