How to make this build cheaper/ Your opinion?

So this is my build. I'm wondering if there's any ways I can maybe make it a bit cheaper, but keep near the same performance. Are the fans that I added necessary? Is there a cheaper case I could use that might be about the same, but save me $20?

Games I'm looking to play: BF3, Skyrim, SWTOR, various steam games I might find, Team Fortress 2, Spiral Knights, etc.


Anything like that, what I should change, please let me know. I am a student looking to save some money


**Edit: Forgot to mention, the wishlist doesn't allow adding bundled items. The video card and the RAM are bundled, giving me - $10 on that, so the RAM is more like $40.**

Also, I have a friend who has custom built his computer who will help me assemble, work out overclock settings, and unlock 2 more cores off the processor.

Aftermarket CPU cooler is not necessary unless your planning to overclock, And you could probably bump your PSU to around 650w, everything else looks good.

These are all decent cases for under $50. The HAF does have awesome cooling thats hard to beat. Fan wise for cases, just make sure you have 1 in the front and 1 in the back. If you want to buy another fan, check the size for the top mount fan on the case and get one that size for the top mount spot, and then you should be good with some pretty decent cooling.

You only need 500w. Seasonic PSUs are really good quality. I think corsair and XFX use Seasonic PSUs. The oone mention above is a good buy too.
If you are not overclocking your PSU, then dont get thermal paste and an aftermarket cooler.

The processor I've chosen involves easy unlocking of the cores, from 4 to 6, and it's recommended to have an aftermarket cooler for that, so that's why I chose it. Are the blue LED fans necessary/a good choice, do I need more of them, or do I need any of them at all?

Get the i3-2120 instead of the amd

ditch the cpu cooler doesnt look alot better than the stock one and thermal paste as most coolers i have bought come with thermal paste anyways,get rid of the 80mm fan theyre noisy and haf912 have plenty of fans anyways, get gskill ram cheaper and i have never had a prob with them, i dont think you can unlock cores with that motherboard it has the wrong chipset needs the amd one not nforce chipset. get a cheap i3 it will be faster in alot of games and better for future upgrade if need be
