Hello everyone,
I need your help on how to connect these devices and how to set them up to make everything work.
I want to use router as an access point, and that's not hard to make, I did that in the past. My problem now is a bit different: I want to create access point from router, and then connect STB (Set-Top-Box) to it.
Setup should look like this:
1. My main modem should get the internet from the socket, and then send it to PC, STB and router (access point).
2. Router should get the internet from modem, and then send it to second PC and second STB.
3. Both modem and router should have WLAN turned on for better wireless coverage, since the two rooms (separated with black dashed line) are in two opposite parts of the house (one of the main reasons why I'm doing this).
My main problem is how to make that second STB to work properly. On my modem, connections 1 and 4 are intended for internet, and connections 2 and 3 are for STBs.
So basically my question is: how to correctly setup this whole thing, and how to setup my router so I can connect STB to one of its ethernet ports (e.g. 2 or 3, if that's possible).
Modem: Huawei HG532e
Router: TP-Link TL-WR340G
Set-Top-Box: Amino A139-E (probably not that famous because it's a local product)
Thanks in advance,
