How to make windows 10 run faster in a low end laptop

I have an Asus X441NA laptop with Intel CDC N3350 processor. I've noticed after installation windows performance gets gradually worse overtime. There is no processor hungry app installed running in the background and task manager mostly shows windows processes eating up the processor (always at 100%). There is plenty of room left in c drive and I've run antivirus.

How can I optimize the windows to make it run faster?

Add more ram, upgrade to SSD.

SSD is always the way to go on any computer, especially laptops. Laptop HDD's are normally slow and crap.
