Hey guys,

Lots of posts out there on this although they all seem to have slightly different answers and so far none have appealed to me.

I am trying to mirror my PC to my Samsung Smart TV. I have a Roku that supports Miracast but I am running windows 7 so I don't think I can utilize this? Samsung also has a built in option to screen share to the TV directly. I've got it set up in my devices but I can't figure out how to actually project the display to the TV.

Any suggestions? Is it possible to hook this up with the devices I have wirelessly?

Thanks,
Kevin

I think there is an option on google chrome but I am not sure. The best option would be to go with HDMI and if you can, get a wireless mouse and keyboard so you can use the computer from across the room unless all you want to do is stream videos

Hi,

You can stream ANY version of windows PC Desktop using VLC and that PC stream can be picked up by ANY streaming device or Phone/IPAD/Tablet on your home wifi one or all simultaneously. YT How to "win7 desktop stream vlc roku". I prefer streaming vs mirroring or using an HDMI because your PC Desktop is being streamed to your Home wifi and any Roku or streaming device on your wifi can connect to that same PC stream as well as your phone so you are not tied to one TV or device. It behaves like its own channel which you can connect to or watch something else on say your Roku device or IPad. The PC stream can also be picked up directly on a smart tv with an IPTV app. There is a YT How To on that as well. I usually run a html playlist with 100+ http links of a favorite show in a continuous loop connecting to the stream from anyplace/device in my home. If your wifi connects outside you or a family member can watch the PC stream on a Tablet in the backyard.
