How to mount a drive that was in RAID 1

I have two Samsung HD204UI 2TB that were in a Buffalo LinkStation LS-QVL in RAID 1. The linkstation's power supply died but I've managed to revive the drives and the computer will now fully recognise them.

However as they were in RAID 1, windows doesn't know how to read them and ubuntu won't mount them automatically.

I've looked at many guides on how to use Ubuntu Live to mount the drive, but I'm having no luck. Can anyone please help with the commands in Ubuntu to mount the drive(s) to pull the data off? The drives themselves should be both be in normal working order.

Thanks!

Thanks in advance

Where abouts would that mount it to? Or would it then show up as an external drive?

Also I tried some madadm commands before but it said I would need to install it. Do you know how to install it in Ubuntu Live?

I worked it out.

For the benefit of anyone reading this thread, I used terminal to install mdadm first, which was sudo apt-get install mdadm. It didn't work initially because I was using an older version of Ubuntu Live. I downloaded the most recent version and tried it again, and mdadm installed.

Then I used the command sudo mdadm --assemble --scan, and the partitions on the drive all showed up in devices and I could access them like any external storage device that was plugged in.

Thanks for your help guys!
