Question How to Mount LGA 775 Fan on LGA 1155

I have an old cooler master cpu fan lga 775
And i want to mount it on lga 1155

I know that you will need screws and mounts

I have found plenty on aliexpress but i dont know which one to pick

Can you give me the direct link for the right one ?

Can only buy from aliexpress

My lga 775 motherboard you mean ?

Its an asus p5ql/epu DDR2 atx


The motherboard i want to move it to is a foxconn 2abf motherboard (DDR3)

The cooler master its a heatsink with 3 heatpipes and a cooler master 120mm fan
If needed i can take a pic

Make and model of the LGA 1155 board you're looking at. Initial runs of the board on that socket had two sets of holes for mounting, meaning you were able to use LGA775 coolers on an LGA1155 board, but as popularity grew on the latter platform, there were only one set of holes.

You might want to contact Coolermaster and see if they have a mounting kit for your socket but to be honest, you're better off just getting a new cooler which will remove much of your waiting time.

I can't contact with coolermaster because the cpu was bought overseas.

That's why I am looking for a solution from aliexpress it seems the only website that I can get the mounting kit from

No I am not certain I only looked at google for its 775 cooler masters and saw one looking the same as mine

3 heatpipes and a 120mm fan and an la 775 cpu fan

But I guess knowing the model won't make a difference right ?
Because I am by myself I don't know the model name

I have seen in aliexpress some brackets with some screws saying they are for its 775 and 115x will they work ?? Have no idea what to pick
