how to move a seagate free agent in xp to windows 8 - Replica not supported

I have all my files backed up on a seagate free agent go flex on a older computer using XP. Purchased a new laptop running Windows 8. Want to move those files to this new computer but I guess that Seagate is not supporting Replica in Windows 8. Any ideas???

I guess Seagate has a new software called Dashboard which works in XP and Win8

see if that software will restore you current backup, otherwise you could install it on XP and redo the backup
