The pagefile is is physical drive space, used (mostly) when the system runs out of physical RAM. The OS swaps the RAM contents in and out of the RAM, when the RAM space is used up.
Having 32GB, that should be a rare occurrence.

Windows does also use it in the case of a major crash, to hold and save the dumpfile. Which is why you shouldn't turn it off completely.
Leaving it on the C drive will not impact the lifespan or performance of that SSD.

For that, you could reduce the size of the pagefile down to minimal.
I have 32GB, and the pagefile set at 1GB min/max.

But if you have sufficient space on your current C drive, just leave it on that drive. No need to move it anywhere else.

But still reduce it on the C drive?

Thanks

Sure.
As long as you have the pagefile somewhere, it makes no difference where.
But with 32GB RAM, just reduce it down in size, and leave it on the C drive.

so is it then, that page file is being held in RAM except 1 or 2 gigs on the c drive no need to be concerned about extra writes to the c drive?

Thanks
