so is it then, that page file is being held in RAM except 1 or 2 gigs on the c drive no need to be concerned about extra writes to the c drive?

The pagefile is is physical drive space, used (mostly) when the system runs out of physical RAM. The OS swaps the RAM contents in and out of the RAM, when the RAM space is used up.
Having 32GB, that should be a rare occurrence.
Windows does also use it in the case of a major crash, to hold and save the dumpfile. Which is why you shouldn't turn it off completely.
Leaving it on the C drive will not impact the lifespan or performance of that SSD.
