How to OC my GPU and CPU ?

I want to OC my GPU and my CPU but I am not entirely sure how to. Here is a list of some of my system specs:

Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB GDDR5
AMD FX 4130 3.8GHz
BIOSTAR A960D+ Motheroard
8GB RAM
500w PSU (Brand not known yet)

First off, stay away from CPU overclocking on that motherboard. That board is NOT the most stable and would fry way to easily.

Second, tell us what EXACT model PSU you have , then we can consider overclocking there.
However your system is likely being help back by the CPU and not the GPU, so do not expect miracles.

If you can also mention WHY you are looking to overclock, we can tell you if its worth the risk or not.

I won't OC my CPU then. My PSU is a Coolermaster Elite 500W Power Supply and I just want to OC my GPU so that I can increase its power.

Anyway with that PSU I would not overclock the GPU either, it really is not stable enough.

In general you only overclock if you minimelize the risks involved.

However with a better PSU, you are welcome to overclock your graphics card.
