[SOLVED] How to open an mpg file

Received an mpg file of a newsbroadcast from a company they authorize to sell there broadcast news....
Short video clip, sports item.
I had to pay dearly for this and you would think they would be current and send a quicktime file I could use...
but they sent it as an mpg.....


Can not get quicktime to recognize it, not listed on there compatible file formats.
Will not open with Cinematize as it does not recognize it, neither do the plugins for OSX in Firefox or Windows Media Player....

Any suggestions!

Try VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). I've not used it on my Mac, but it does the job on PCs. And it's free!
