goto start run or the little circle if windows 7 and type regedit then follow the list down to what you want So you will see HKLocal machine then software and expand them till you get to the key you want.

You may want to post what issue you are trying to fix, if you got that far to getting a registry key name, you should have the info on what to change to enable the log.
